Does growing up in a purity culture affect my ability to experience pleasure?

If you’re asking this question, my love, the answer is, yes.

When I began my work as a sexuality educator I knew I’d have the opportunity to help individuals overcome obstacles associated with religious trauma. As a survivor of a purity culture myself, I thought I might run into a couple of individuals with similar experiences. But never did I imagine that the pain would be so endless. That so many of you would have stories of doctrine used to inappropriately control your bodies and your behaviors.

It is for that reason that I have written a six-week course specifically for you. PLEASURE FOR PURITY CULTURE SURVIORS will unpack Purity Culture origins, agendas, and impacts. Over our six weeks together you will be given tools to develop a healing practice of self-love to reclaim YOUR body and sexuality for yourself.

I have spent months deep in study, unpacking the “whys” behind the actions of so many pastors, parents, and leaders. I would love for you to join this empowering and enlightening course beginning March 8th at 7:00pm. Together we will reclaim ownership of our bodies and our pleasure!

We will meet virtually for six weeks on ZOOM and I PROMISE you it will be POWERFUL. I am only accepting 15 students, so please use this link to register now: https://app.squarespacescheduling.com/schedule.php?appointmentType=28382549&owner=24658531

If you have any questions at all feel free to send me an email at: lauren@sexedforyou.com. I would be happy to support you in whatever way I can.

You are deserving of endless pleasure and joy. I cannot wait to open the door.

xoxo -
