November Journal Prompts

  1. What feels good to you? (Body, mind, and soul.) How do you notice what feels good?

  2. In Comprehensive Sexuality Education we begin encouraging children to notice what feels good and what feels bad between the ages of three and five-years-old. What was occuring in your life between the ages of three and five?

  3. What non-sexual things brought you pleasure between the ages of three and five? Can you allow yourself to travel back in time? Were they colorful? Technical? Wild? Free? Orderly?

  4. What is one of these simple childhood pleasures you can gift yourself this month? A pretty piece of fabric for your pocket? A climb up a tree? Organizing a drawer? Playing in a pile of leaves?

  5. How does it feel to gift something so small and tangible to yourself? (PSST - I call this a PLEASURE HACK!)

  6. As Mercury enters Scorpio, (10/29 - 11/17), the mind and the body are given an opportunity to come together. In our October book of the month we read that, “Ultimately it is the mind that directs the touch, and it is the mind that accepts it.” How could you practice becoming more conscious of all gifts (both sexual and non) being bestowed through this small act of gifting to yourself? Does it feel less risky than accepting a gift of touch from a partner? Why?

  7. As the seasons change and the mystery of what’s to come captures our attention, I encourage you to return to the wisdom of your three-year-old body. What did that child know about themselves that NO ONE can take away?

  8. What deep desires might be reawakening within you? Is it time for them to be renewed and reclaimed? If so, I am here as your Nurse Log. You are safe. Take your time. You will have all the nutrients you need.
